Welcome! I'm a San Francisco Bay Area native and graduate of the Masters program at the Carnegie Mellon School of Design.

I design for services, experiences, systems and applications. I design to solve problems and create experiences for users that are clear, useful and emotionally resonant. One of my favorite things about design and research is how the learning and discovery never ends, no matter the topic.

I'm also a words person; a writer and communicator, an ideas person; a connector, synthesizer and summarizer, a listener and observer, a photographer, a digital artist, a classically-trained clarinetist turned music collector and a dedicated music festivalgoer.

I approach challenges both in work and life with open communication, humor and enthusiasm. I also think I'm pretty good at finding the right words for any situation, editing photos, capturing beautiful and interesting details in the world, making people laugh about ridiculous things, and finding and sharing great new music.

I share some of the music I'm excited about on my Soundcloud profile, and post my photography on Flickr and Instagram. My mobile photo art lives in this set on Flickr.
